Overview
Policy Communications Manager to lead external communications for AI security, governance, and responsible scaling, including proactive and reactive media work.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute communications strategies for AI security, governance, and responsible scaling.
- Drive external communications on corporate governance, including the Long-Term Benefit Trust (LTBT) and public benefit corporation status.
- Partner with security, product, legal, governance, and Responsible Scaling Policy (RSP) leaders on sensitive, fast-moving matters.
- Lead proactive communications on regulatory frameworks, transparency obligations, and public reporting commitments.
- Handle reactive inbound media requests on complex security and governance topics.
- Support executives with media interviews, speaking engagements, and public appearances.
- Write blog posts, statements, and talking points explaining security, governance, and responsible scaling work.
What you'll need
- Experience in policy communications, including managing communications around complex security or governance topics.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to distill complex technical topics for broad audiences.
- Experience in issues management and developing reactive communications under pressure and tight timelines.
- Strong executive management skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
- A track record of building media relationships.
- Ability to operate with flexibility and judgment in fast-changing, novel communications situations.

- Work expectation: in one of the offices at least 25% of the time (hybrid).
