Overview
Principal AI Engineer and senior individual contributor responsible for defining architecture, engineering standards, and technical direction for enterprise AI solutions supporting research and development.
What you'll do
- Architect and deliver production-grade AI agents, engineering assistants, and agentic workflows.
- Design intelligent solutions for software development, code and test generation, verification, validation, and defect investigation.
- Develop secure, scalable Retrieval-Augmented Generation solutions grounded in engineering documentation and technical records.
- Own technical direction for agent architecture, orchestration, model selection, evaluation, and enterprise integration.
- Establish standards for AI governance, validation, security, observability, model risk management, and responsible AI.
- Partner with R&D, quality, regulatory, security, and technology teams to prioritize use cases and lead technical reviews.
- Mentor engineers and scale solutions that improve productivity, product quality, traceability, and speed to market.
What you'll need
- 14+ years of experience developing enterprise software solutions.
- Experience using Python, C#, Java, or similar programming languages.
- Experience developing software solutions in the medical device industry.
- Experience building AI applications using LLMs, agent frameworks, RAG architectures, vector databases, and cloud AI services.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related technical discipline.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Nice to have
- Experience in medical devices, diagnostics, healthcare, biotechnology, or other regulated industries.
- Experience with MBSE, requirements management, risk management, or engineering lifecycle tools.

- On-site role in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
- Travel may be required up to 25%.
- Ability to lift, move, or carry equipment up to 25 lb.
