Principal AI Engineer — AI & Data Platform

Overview

Lead the strategy, architecture, governance, security, and operations of an enterprise Agentic AI Platform. Build foundational capabilities that scale AI agents while supporting compliance, reliability, and responsible AI practices.

What you'll do

• Define the platform vision, roadmap, governance standards, and operating model.
• Lead platform engineering teams and drive adoption across business domains.
• Design orchestration layers for agent communication, workflows, memory, planning, and tool integration.
• Manage enterprise LLM services, model lifecycles, performance, reliability, and costs.
• Implement AI governance, security, compliance, auditability, and responsible AI controls.
• Establish observability, SLAs, SLOs, incident management, and operational support processes.
• Lead collaboration with architecture, data, security, platform, and business stakeholders.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, AI/ML platforms, cloud platforms, or enterprise platform management.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering or platform teams.
• Experience building and operating enterprise AI/ML platforms.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, Generative AI, Agentic AI frameworks, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with MLOps, Kubernetes, Docker, API gateways, and platform engineering practices.
• Knowledge of AI security, Zero Trust, governance, and Responsible AI frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience with LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, or OpenAI Agents.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or open-source models.
• Experience with Databricks, Azure AI Foundry, or Snowflake.
