Overview
Principal Architect, Data & Analytics (Hybrid) leads a data & analytics team and drives the organization’s data strategy, architectures, platforms, analytics programs, and governance.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute the organization’s Data & Analytics strategy aligned to business objectives.
- Oversee design, implementation, and optimization of scalable data architectures and reporting solutions.
- Ensure selection, deployment, and governance of analytics technologies, tools, and frameworks.
- Maintain data quality, security, privacy, and compliance standards across analytics initiatives.
- Provide strategic oversight of analytics programs with delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.
- Establish project governance practices including change management and stakeholder communication.
- Manage external vendor and technology partner relationships for third-party implementations.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in Data & Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and enterprise analytics platforms.
- Strong expertise in Azure Synapse, Databricks, Apache Spark & PySpark, and cloud-based analytics ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold data layers).
- Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining Delta Live Tables (DLT) pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD, Git-based source control, and deployment automation.
- Knowledge of Unity Catalog and metadata-driven ETL frameworks/dynamic pipeline development.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree (MBA, MIS, or equivalent) preferred.
- Exposure to SAP data integration using SAP source systems for enterprise-scale data migration.
- Analytics, Data Engineering, or Microsoft Azure certifications as a plus.
- Experience in a regulated industry such as Medical Devices, Healthcare, or Life Sciences preferred.
