Overview
Principal Data Scientist designing, building, and operationalizing predictive and prescriptive models for intelligent HR workflows at global scale.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and operationalize predictive models that generate signals, features, and recommendations for intelligent systems and decision workflows.
- Embed predictive intelligence into products, platforms, and processes, including deployment, monitoring, and continuous production improvement.
- Serve as a technical authority on model-driven data products, including creation, validation, governance, and consumption.
- Partner with product, engineering, and experience teams to co-design human- and machine-facing interfaces (signals, features, APIs).
- Apply enterprise standards for model explainability, fairness, privacy, and responsible AI to ensure trustworthy and auditable solutions at global scale.
- Translate complex business problems into scalable analytical and modeling frameworks, including guidance on automation vs human control.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of experience designing, building, and deploying predictive or machine-learning models in production where outputs are consumed by systems/workflows/applications/end users.
- Strong proficiency in modern data science and ML tooling, including Python, ML frameworks, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
- Demonstrated ability to think in signals, features, and decision logic for integration into automated or augmented decision workflows.
- Experience working on complex, scaled data environments collaborating with engineering, product, and platform teams.
- Working knowledge of model explainability, fairness, privacy, and responsible AI practices.
- Strong problem-framing skills to translate ambiguous challenges into well-structured modeling approaches.
Nice to have
- Experience with Databricks data science and analytics platform, including developing, training, and operationalizing models with Databricks notebooks and workflows.
- Prior data science/ML experience in an HR or workforce-related domain (e.g., employee data, organizational structures, lifecycle events).
- Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in a quantitative field or equivalent depth of experience.
- Experience building intelligence for automated or semi-automated decisioning, recommendations, or optimization.
