Overview

Principal Engineer for Assembly Equipment & Process, responsible for leading equipment engineering across assembly manufacturing and driving equipment reliability, productivity, and digital/AI enablement.

What you'll do

• Lead equipment strategy and operational excellence across assembly operations.
• Improve equipment performance metrics including uptime, OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and cost-of-ownership.
• Ensure equipment readiness and qualification for NPI, technology transfers, and product ramps.
• Develop and execute assembly equipment AI enablement for predictive maintenance and intelligent automation.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical process control.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, PDE, quality, manufacturing, and facilities teams.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing equipment engineering organizations.
• Strong experience in assembly manufacturing equipment and automation systems.
• Experience leading large engineering teams and factory-wide initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience with MES, FDC, SPC, APC, and manufacturing intelligence platforms (stated as preferred within qualifications).
