Principal Engineer

Overview

Principal Engineer leading R&D technology and software/product development for process automation.

What you'll do

• Initiate and drive technology, software, product, and/or solution development.
• Act as the first point of contact in R&D for in-depth product/technology issues.
• Design and develop greenfield products using microservice architecture.
• Follow DevOps and best software development practices across the lifecycle from analysis to delivery.
• Serve as project leader or senior project member for execution using supporting tools/processes.
• Coordinate major technology/engineering projects and product platforms with substantial impact.
• Support customer issue resolution and lead quality/continuous improvement via root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

What you'll need

• 15+ years of hands-on professional experience in C# using .NET/.NET Core and web development technologies.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with IoT API design such as REST and WebSocket.
• Experience with middleware-patterns such as MQTT and AMQP.
• Excellent understanding of SOLID, design patterns, and architectural patterns.
• Practical skills with Docker/Kubernetes or other container orchestration.
• Experience with Linux administration and RedHat OpenShift/MicroShift.
