Principal Engineer - Characterization

Overview

Principal Engineer - Characterization will execute silicon characterization of FPGA products, ensuring high quality and shortest time to market.

What you'll do

• Own and deliver characterization of FPGA products focused on high-speed protocols.
• Create characterization specifications, plans, and documentation.
• Perform characterization of digital and mixed-signal designs.
• Develop associated design and firmware for verification activities.
• Verify FPGA timing and power analysis tools.
• Correlate pre-silicon results with silicon measurements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout characterization activities.

What you'll need

• Hold a BSEE or MSEE.
• Have 8+ to 16 years of experience in product characterization or silicon validation for digital and mixed-signal circuits.
• Have 5+ years of experience with characterization/validation of serial protocols (e.g., PCIe/10GBaseKR/XAUI/SATA).
• Have expertise in characterization of DDR, SoC, processors, PLL, and oscillators.
• Have firmware development experience on multi-core microcontrollers/processors (ARM/RISC-V or similar).
• Have laboratory environment experience using equipment such as BERTs, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
