Principal Engineer – Software(DO-178B/C ,10 + Years)

Overview

Lead Engineer role for safety-critical aerospace software in Bangalore or Hyderabad, working in a hybrid setup.

What you'll do

• Design and develop middleware, core software libraries, and platform software compliant with DO-178B/C.
• Analyze, define, and develop high-level and low-level software requirements.
• Develop software architecture, detailed designs, and embedded software components using OOP/OODB principles.
• Implement, integrate, debug, and verify embedded software primarily using C++.
• Create and execute software test cases, procedures, and automated test scripts.
• Support software verification, validation, certification activities, and lifecycle documentation.
• Participate in technical/peer reviews and troubleshoot complex design/integration/performance issues.

What you'll need

• Minimum 10 years of embedded software development experience in aerospace or safety-critical domains.
• Hands-on DO-178B/C software development and certification activity experience.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills with C++ preferred.
• Experience with software architecture, design, coding, integration, debugging, and verification.
• Ability to create software requirements, test cases, and verification procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in Agile and cross-functional engineering teams.
