What you'll do
- Serve as the architecture authority for EchoViewer and own major architecture decisions across the product lifecycle.
- Define and maintain the end-to-end architecture for on-premises, cloud and hybrid deployment models.
- Own architecture decisions covering applications, services, APIs, data, integration, interoperability, deployment and infrastructure.
- Define the technology stack and engineering toolchain, balancing productivity, maintainability, security, lifecycle cost and technology obsolescence.
- Establish architecture principles, reference architectures, design patterns and technical guardrails for the engineering organisation.
- Define the product data architecture and integration strategy, including data models, APIs, external interfaces and clinical ecosystem interoperability.
- Drive interoperability using relevant healthcare standards, including DICOM, HL7 and FHIR.
- Architect cybersecurity by design, minimising attack surface, unnecessary dependencies and technology footprint while enabling secure deployment, upgrades and maintenance.
- Define architectural approaches for identity and access, data protection, secure communication, logging, observability, resilience and component lifecycle management.
- Drive non-functional requirements covering performance, scalability, reliability, availability, maintainability, serviceability, cybersecurity and interoperability.
- Partner with Engineering leadership to translate architecture into technical roadmaps, executable product increments and release plans.
- Work with Systems and V&V leadership to ensure that the architecture is testable and supports effective integration and automation.
- Lead architecture reviews and resolve complex technical issues and cross-product architectural trade-offs.
- Make build, buy, reuse and platform-adoption recommendations based on product, technology and business needs.
- Drive reuse of common services, components, APIs and platform capabilities across the CVUS Digital portfolio.
- Manage technical debt and architecture evolution to balance short-term commitments with long-term scalability and maintainability.
- Partner with CTO, Product Management and cross-functional leaders to define product and technology strategy.
- Communicate architecture strategy, major decisions, technical risks and investment needs to senior leadership.
- Mentor architects, principal engineers and senior technical talent across Bengaluru and the global CVUS organisation.
