Principal Software Engineer

Overview

Principal Software Engineer focused on designing and evolving large-scale distributed systems for provisioning and managed service/provider platform services.

What you'll do

• Lead the design and evolution of large-scale distributed systems.
• Provide architectural leadership for partner enablement and product expansion initiatives (MSLA and STC).
• Drive platform scalability for a global partner ecosystem.
• Champion AI-driven development workflows and AI-powered tooling to modernize engineering practices.
• Review design/code across front-end technology and back-end microservices for architecture compliance.
• Mentor the team on leveraging AI to solve complex scalability challenges.

What you'll need

• 15+ years of professional experience using languages including Go, Java, and Python (Go is most preferred).
• Proven experience designing microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with high-throughput messaging technologies and patterns such as Apache Kafka.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases including Redis and Cassandra (a plus).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (or similar container orchestration).
• Experience developing, testing, and deploying to public cloud infrastructures such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
