Principal Software Engineer I

Overview

Principal Software Engineer I develops high-quality, innovative software in compliance with coding standards. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver designs, code, and tests on time while aligning with industry and organizational standards.

What you'll do

• Support engineering teams with attention to detail.
• Research, analyze, and document findings.
• Design, build, and maintain large-scale services, web applications, data pipelines, and streaming systems.
• Debug production issues across multiple services and stack layers.
• Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
• Participate in testing via test review/analysis, witnessing, and certification.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to manage projects and processes independently with limited supervision.
• Advanced knowledge of the applicable work area.
• Knowledge of programming languages and software basics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organization and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of software development tools including version control, build processes, debuggers, and test frameworks.
