Principal Software Engineer (Remote Eligible in Bulgaria)

Overview

Lead architecture and large-scale technical initiatives as a Principal Software Engineer designing scalable, secure, and high-performance systems for global users.

What you'll do

• Lead design and implementation of next-generation architecture.
• Define architecture strategy and make key technical decisions.
• Review technical project designs for resilience and scalability.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives and large-scale projects to completion.
• Mentor senior engineers and influence practices across teams.
• Lead deployment reviews for high-impact projects.
• Partner with product management and stakeholders on technical direction.

What you'll need

• Experience designing scalable, high-availability systems.
• Experience across Python, Go, Java, C/C++, SQL, or multiple comparable technologies.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
• Experience leading large-scale architectural transformations across teams.
• Expertise in web application development, data structures, and object-oriented design.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure at scale and database optimization.
• Fluency in English and ongoing legal eligibility to work in Bulgaria.
