Software Engineer, Distributed Systems

Overview

Work as a distributed systems engineer on the syncing engine and infrastructure that move large volumes of customer data. Own projects end to end while solving performance, scalability, reliability, and multi-region systems challenges.

What you'll do

• Optimize syncing processes to move data more quickly.
• Develop real-time syncing for streaming sources such as webhooks and queues.
• Identify scalability and reliability bottlenecks and architect for growth.
• Build and improve low-latency personalization infrastructure.
• Support multi-region and multi-cloud backend infrastructure.
• Work directly with customers on complex scaling problems.

What you'll need

• Experience with distributed systems and high-scale systems, or the ability and desire to build this experience quickly.
• Experience building scalable syncing engines that process terabytes of data per day.
• Experience creating event collection or data streaming services for critical systems.
• Experience scaling systems through orders of magnitude of growth.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly.
• Comfort with high ownership in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Remote within North America.
• Salary: $180,000–$400,000 USD per year.
