Overview
Own either the WiFi access point roadmap or the Insight cloud management platform for NETGEAR's enterprise networking business, setting direction and taking products from idea to launch and beyond.
What you'll do
- Own the roadmap for your product area, turning customer needs, market trends, and competitive intelligence into a prioritized plan that drives revenue and adoption.
- Write clear, testable requirements (PRDs, epics, user stories) that engineering can build from without guesswork.
- Partner closely with engineering, QA, and UX through the full lifecycle: definition, development, beta, launch, and sustaining.
- Run customer and partner interviews, analyze support and usage data, and stay close to MSPs, VARs, and SMB IT admins.
- Track competitors such as Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti, HPE Aruba Instant On, TP-Link Omada, and Ruckus, and use that view to sharpen positioning and pricing.
- Drive go-to-market with Product Marketing, Sales, and Channel teams, including positioning, launch readiness, sales enablement, and pricing input.
- Define and track KPIs such as device adoption, subscription attach and renewal, feature usage, and customer satisfaction.
- If focused on WiFi: define AP hardware and firmware features across WiFi 6/6E/7/8, including RF performance, roaming, security, and PoE/power, working with hardware, firmware, and ODM partners on NPI schedules.
- If focused on Insight: drive cloud platform capabilities across the web portal and mobile app, including multi-site and multi-tenant management, MSP workflows, troubleshooting and visibility tools, subscription tiers, and integrations.
What you'll need
- 4 to 7 years of product management experience, ideally in networking, cloud/SaaS, or B2B technology.
- Solid technical grounding in enterprise WiFi (802.11 standards, RF basics, WLAN design) or cloud-managed networking/SaaS platforms.
- A track record of shipping products from definition through launch.
- Strong written communication; PRDs that are clear, concise, and decisive.
- Comfort with data, with the ability to pull insights from usage, sales, and market data to support recommendations.
- The ability to influence without authority across engineering, marketing, sales, and executives.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
