Project Engineer

Overview

Project Engineer for ABB’s Electrification business Distribution Solutions in Hyderabad, focused on design and implementation of substation automation and power network control systems.

What you'll do

• Act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity.
• Design, develop, and implement Substation Automation Systems including SCADA, PLC, and RTU-based control, monitoring, and communications.
• Develop, modify, test, and troubleshoot PLC programs for substation automation applications.
• Design and configure HMI and SCADA systems for monitoring, control, alarms, and visualization.
• Prepare and maintain project engineering documentation such as architecture diagrams, I/O lists, and FAT/SAT documents.
• Select and specify hardware components including PLCs, RTUs, networking devices, and control system components.
• Provide remote technical support for testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and system integration.

What you'll need

• B.E or Diploma in Electrical with 8+ years experience.
• Proficiency in electrical distribution and automation, power systems, and substation automation.
• PLC programming per IEC 61131-3, preferably Emerson PAC system (PAC Machine Edition) and ABB AC500 (Automation Builder).
• HMI design using Emerson Quick Panel and ABB Panel Builder.
• SCADA development using GE Cimplicity, Copadata ZENON, and ABB ZEE600.
• LV and/or MV switchgear knowledge.
• Knowledge of communication and network architecture designing.
