Project Engineer

Overview

Project Engineer responsible for P&ID review, heat & mass balance interpretation, and engineering calculations and technical packages for piping, equipment, and process requirements.

What you'll do

• Review P&IDs and provide markups per project specification and mass balance diagrams.
• Apply customer tagging or international tagging requirements (e.g., KKS) on P&IDs.
• Perform sanity checks on P&IDs for pressure, flow, and storage level requirements.
• Conduct line sizing and velocity check calculations using applicable standards or best practice.
• Develop equipment lists with equipment weight calculations and valve lists with material constructs.
• Prepare technical packages for critical commodities and for rotating/static equipment.
• Perform manual material take-off from P&IDs, facility arrangement drawings, and hand sketches.

What you'll need

• 7–10 years of experience.
• Basic understanding of P&ID and ability to read heat and mass balance diagrams.
• Basic understanding of pre-treatment, filtration, and post-treatment.
• Ability to interpret heat & mass balance requirements on P&ID line flows.
• Knowledge to perform calculations for process projection (e.g., membrane tank sizing, blower capacity).
• Working knowledge of MOCs and piping specifications with codes/standards such as ASME, ASTM, API, and DIN.
• Experience with electrical load lists, instrument lists, and pump/blower sizing.

Nice to have

• Ability to handle medium-risk projects/tasks with technical complexity.
• Strong understanding of job relation with other disciplines.

Details

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Exposure to codes and standards and experience working with global customers/global delivery centres.
