Project Manager - Transmission Line and Substation (South Kalambh)

Overview

Site-based Project Manager to lead PMC delivery for transmission line, HVAC substations, and HVDC terminal station packages, ensuring safety, scope, schedule, budget, quality, and contractual compliance.

What you'll do

• Serve as the principal point of contact across consultant, client, EPC contractors, OEMs, and stakeholders.
• Set up project execution planning, organization structure, responsibility matrix, communication protocol, and reporting arrangements.
• Lead PMC resource mobilization and deployment across transmission line sections, substations, and HVDC terminal stations.
• Review and monitor contractor baseline schedule, procurement plan, construction methodology, resource plan, and commissioning program.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces including transmission line, substation, HVDC, HSE, and contractual elements.
• Track progress vs milestones, manage deviations via recovery/acceleration plans, and run periodic review meetings.

What you'll need

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in EHV transmission line and substation projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading at least one major 400 kV/765 kV transmission or substation project.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Working knowledge of project controls, contracts, quality management, HSE, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Proficiency in project reporting, stakeholder management, and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Familiarity with HVDC, GIS, large power transformers, reactors, and control/protection systems (preferred).
