Purchasing Specialist I, Plm Sourcing

Overview

Support product lifecycle management sourcing for new product introduction and continuation projects. The role focuses on SAP purchasing data, part costing, purchase order readiness, supplier coordination, and supply chain risk management.

What you'll do

• Maintain SAP material master, purchasing info, source list, and quality info records.
• Convert shopping cart requisitions into purchase orders and track supplier acknowledgements.
• Coordinate goods receipts and resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers and internal teams.
• Manage Last Time Buy activities and support Excess and Obsolete processes.
• Perform RFQs and bill-of-material reviews for sourcing projects.
• Analyze supply chain data and prepare reports using SAP, Excel, Power BI, and other systems.
• Identify cost optimization opportunities and mitigate supplier, delivery, obsolescence, and logistics risks.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electronics, or another relevant engineering discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience in purchasing, sourcing, supply chain, or a related function.
• Understanding of MRP, inventory, and production principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP.
• Power BI development experience.
• New Product Introduction purchasing or sourcing experience.

• Location: Bengaluru, India.
• Hybrid work policy requiring work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, unless business obligations require otherwise.
