Overview
Quality Engineer for SMT/FATP-focused manufacturing quality at a CM partner factory near Sriperumbudur. Supports factory quality reviews, test strategy/build, issue resolution, and NPI activities.
What you'll do
- Design and integrate quality requirements, processes, and practices into manufacturing.
- Coordinate cross-functional projects and factory quality activities.
- Resolve technical and quality issues at the factory and drive continuous improvement.
- Craft test strategies, build/automate test setups and frameworks, and execute test plans.
- Develop reports by consolidating and analyzing quality reports, test data, and process results.
- Drive monthly quality reviews (e.g., RC/CAPA and improvements) with the factory.
What you'll need
- 10-15 years of experience, including 10 years in PC industry.
- Expert understanding of SMT/PCA manufacturing and related processes (SPP/SPI, P&P, AOI, ICT, SA, FBT).
- Expert understanding of PC manufacturing processes (assembly, test, pack, audit) and diagnostics.
- Knowledge of process/product quality, IQC/IPQC/OQC, and line/process audits (e.g., ISO, ESD, SOP).
- Strong quality tools experience (e.g., RC/CAPA, 8D, Lean 6S, Kaizen).
- Ability to support programming/scripting and data mining/analytics (advantage).
- Bachelor/Master degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or equivalent.

- Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India; local candidate expected to daily commute.
- Based in CM partner factory about 20 km south/west from Sriperumbudur; transport to factory on own.
- Working schedule: Mon-Fri/Sat, business hours; ability to support weekends and out of business hours.
