Quality Specialist

Overview

Ensure adherence to quality standards for a local organizational unit within ABB's Motion business for the Traction division, covering quality culture, systems, tools and collaboration with teams to meet and exceed customer expectations while ensuring sustainable operations.

What you'll do

• Support specific communication relevant to quality management in your area of responsibility.
• Assist in continuously identifying and addressing risks and opportunities related to quality management in the local organization and at supplier end.
• Use quality data analytics to identify risks, failures and non-conformances, monitor supplier performance and provide appropriate solutions to maintain required quality performance.
• Facilitate resolution of quality incidences by following robust root cause analysis and implementing preventive and corrective actions.
• Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) as per the quality plan, and verify and approve quality documents related to suppliers.
• Bridge requirements between local functions and suppliers that impact quality results to reach organizational unit targets.

What you'll need

• 5 to 8 years of experience in quality, supplier quality or customer quality.
• Full-time engineering degree in a Mechanical background.
• Knowledge of drawings, test standards, calibration and measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of supplier qualification, product qualification, PPAP and quality plans.
• Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.
