Overview

R&D Substation Automation Verification & Validation Engineer to verify and validate substation automation products (Numerical Relays) and support end-to-end R&D testing for bay-level solutions, including test automation process enhancements.

What you'll do

• Verify and validate substation automation products for numerical relays.
• Perform software/domain testing activities for system/product projects.
• Develop and adapt test cases for system and product requirements.
• Report and verify test defect logs captured during testing.
• Contribute to end-to-end R&D testing of bay-level solutions and support software tools.
• Enhance verification and validation processes using automation paradigms and tools.
• Ensure subsystem integration and consistency in modular, maintainable software.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering.
• 3–8 years of practical experience in substation automation.
• Technical knowledge of protection and communication protocols used in substations (e.g., IEC 61850, DNP3, Sampled Values, Time Synchronization).
• Knowledge of computer networks and OSI layers (OSI layers/protocols in each layer is a plus).
• Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, Java, or C#.
• Effective communication skills and proficiency in spoken and written English.
