Overview

Business Intelligence Sr Analyst (AVP level) for Citi’s Markets Operations BI team in Pune, supporting operational transformation with analytics, dashboarding, and data-driven insights.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with Market Operations management and technology partners to define and execute an analytics agenda.
• Deep-dive into operational processes to identify friction points, risks, and systemic inefficiencies using data and inquiry.
• Conduct statistical analysis to test hypotheses about process friction, risk exposure, and client behavior.
• Produce actionable analyses and support implementation of process health improvement recommendations.
• Design, develop, and implement data analytics and dashboarding solutions for operational performance and efficiency.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews to understand business functions, pain points, and risks from a user perspective.

What you'll need

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a data science or data analytics role (preferably in financial services/capital markets).
• Strong experience with SQL and relational databases for complex data querying and manipulation.
• Experience creating dashboards using BI visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
• Ability to query/join large datasets and translate findings into actionable narratives.
• ETL/data prep experience such as Alteryx, Tableau Prep, or PowerQuery.
• Preferred programming experience with Python, R, or PySpark (stated as “Plus”).
• Bachelor’s/university degree (or equivalent) in a quantitative/technical field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
