Reference Officer -Data Services Analyst 1 - C09

Overview

The Reference Data Services Analyst 1 is a trainee professional role focused on corporate action notification processes, data quality, remediation and reference data services within a capital markets environment.

What you'll do

• Apply knowledge of the corporate action notification process, including mandatory and voluntary corporate actions with data vendors.
• Perform trend analysis and identify root causes.
• Implement or suggest solutions based on root cause analysis.
• Liaise with other teams globally to ensure data quality is remediated.
• Provide a high level of customer service to internal stakeholders.
• Own ad-hoc projects from inception through to completion.
• Provide tangible metrics to Management.
• Assess risk appropriately when business decisions are made, considering the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets.
• Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations; adhere to Policy; apply sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices; and escalate, manage and report control issues with transparency.

What you'll need

• 3-5 years of total experience in investment banking.
• At least a couple of years of experience in corporate action and asset servicing.
• Knowledge of corporate action notification processes.
• Knowledge of mandatory and voluntary corporate actions with data vendors.
• Experience managing various data remediation work streams.
• Projects knowledge.
• Experience maintaining client static data within a capital markets environment.
• Ability to take ownership of allocated work and be accountable.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues and ultimately escalate.
• Financial services-related qualifications.
• Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to exchange information in a concise and logical way and be sensitive to audience diversity.
