Regional IT Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

Regional IT Infrastructure Engineer responsible for designing, rolling out, and managing corporate/industry IT infrastructure standards for the India region.

What you'll do

• Roll out and manage IT infrastructure standards and best practices across the region.
• Improve infrastructure efficiency and keep infrastructure costs under control.
• Deploy standard group infrastructure within plants.
• Handle incidents not treated by national outsourcers.
• Select and manage national outsourcers and define service levels.
• Support R&D technical standards and promote regional innovation.

What you'll need

• At least 15-18 years of past IT experience with a very strong technical background.
• Strong autonomy, underlying IT understanding, motivation to learn, and resourcefulness.
• Supplier management, project management, and communication/reporting skills.
• Fluent English (TOEIC 785 or similar level).
• Technical knowledge across WAN/LAN/WiFi, TCP/IP, VPN, QoS, and Cisco.
• Strong server infrastructure, including storage, datacenter basics, and virtualization with Hyper-V.

• Location: Chennai.
• Employment type: Permanent contract (regular, full time).
• On-site visits required and business trips up to days per month.
• May require late nights/weekends for urgent maintenance; average overtime 2-3 hours per day.
