Sales Engineer

Overview

Sales Engineer for ABB/B&R, focused on developing new business and expanding market share in the region.

What you'll do

• Develop new business and expand OEM market share in Klang Valley and Malaysia.
• Grow B&R’s product portfolio by pursuing new and existing sales opportunities.
• Achieve sales budgets at key accounts using cold calling, enquiry generation, and marketing initiatives.
• Define and develop technical solutions based on customer requirements and market trends.
• Conduct technical presentations, discuss requirements, and negotiate/finalize deals with the internal B&R team.
• Manage sales support tasks including orders, dispatches, payments, and rental materials follow-up.
• Represent B&R at exhibitions and seminars; maintain Salesforce entries and track after-sales support.

What you'll need

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
• 3-5 years progressive customer service or direct marketing experience, preferably in electrical/automation industry.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong attention to details with team working aptitude and problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent communication skills to influence internally and externally.

• Primary region: Klang Valley, Malaysia; supports other SEA countries on demand (Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines) except Singapore.
