Sales Engineer - Mid-Market Midwest

Overview

Sales Engineer role supporting mid-market customers with IoT solutions, including technical pre-sales and integrations.

What you'll do

• Explain Samsara products and how they address prospect challenges.
• Deliver deal-enabling work products like demonstrations, value assessments, and proof of concept implementations.
• Guide installers with scenarios and best practices for installing Samsara products.
• Write scripts using the open API to solve real-world problems and document them for other SEs.
• Provide consultative support to drive account entrenchment via integration, upsell, and cross-sell.
• Act as a liaison between product and sales teams, translating technical feedback and enrolling customers in beta programs.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s of Science degree from a 4-year accredited university.
• 2+ years experience working with customers in a pre-sales, customer success, or customer/product support capacity.
• Ability to influence stakeholders using technical sales acumen and understanding of business processes and change management.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Previous experience managing hardware and/or software product evaluations.
• Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
• Experience with technical consulting, cloud software, cloud-connected hardware, computer networking, business systems integration, automation and control systems.

Details

• Remote position for candidates residing in the Midwest region of the United States, excluding San Francisco Bay Metros, New York City Metro, and Washington DC Metro.
• Travel up to 50% of the time.
• Proximity to an international airport is preferred.
