Sales Engineer - Mid-Market West

Overview

Sales Engineer for Samsara’s mid-market West region, responsible for technical pre-sales and customer engagements using IoT solutions.

What you'll do

• Translate customer technical feedback between product and sales teams.
• Become an expert in Samsara products and explain use cases to prospects.
• Deliver pre-sales work products such as demos, value assessments, and proof of concept implementations.
• Guide installers through installation scenarios and help build deployment plans.
• Write scripts against Samsara’s open API and document them for other SEs.
• Support account expansion via integration, upsell, and cross-sell.
• Act as a liaison to enroll customers in Samsara beta programs.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s of Science degree from a 4-year accredited university.
• 2+ years experience in pre-sales, customer success, or customer/product support capacity.
• Ability to influence stakeholders with technical sales acumen and understanding of business processes/change management.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Previous experience managing hardware and/or software product evaluations.
• Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
• Experience/knowledge of technical consulting, cloud software, cloud-connected hardware, computer networking, business systems integration, automation and control systems.

Details

• Remote position for candidates residing in the West region of the United States, excluding San Francisco Bay Metros, New York City Metro, and Washington DC Metro.
• Travel up to 50% of the time.
• Proximity to an international airport is preferred.
• Full-time employees have an annual OTE range of $95,795–$144,900 USD.
