Sales, Engineering - Pacific Northwest

Overview

Enterprise Sales Engineer role partnering with the Enterprise Sales team to design technical solutions, win over IT and network engineers, and help build the Sales Engineering function at Meter.

What you'll do

• Lead technical discovery calls to understand what customers find painful or frustrating about their current legacy solutions.
• Deliver world-class demonstrations and get buy-in across multiple stakeholders, from office managers to CIOs.
• Build solutions, remove obstacles, and close deals through work with customers and partners.
• Partner directly with Account Executives on your team to create urgency and drive deals forward.
• Build assets and standards, including new internal training, Sales assets, and standardized approaches to complex technical use cases such as EVPN-VXLAN reference architectures and 802.1X integration guides.
• Collect customer feedback from complex deployments and translate requirements to the Product team to influence the hardware and software roadmap.

What you'll need

• Expert knowledge of TCP/IP, 802.11ax/be, TLS, DHCP, DNS, NAT, 802.1X, VPNs, SD-WAN, IDS/IPS, Multicast, OSPF, BGP and EVPN-VXLAN.
• Experience as a high performing Sales Engineer at high growth companies.
• Obsession with networking and a drive to solve complex technical problems creatively.

Nice to have

• Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CWNA, CWDP, CWSP, CWDE, JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIE, Network+ or Security+.

• Location: United States, Pacific Northwest.
• Estimated base salary range of $140,000 to $190,000, plus commission eligibility and participation in Meter's equity plan.
