Overview

Sales Manager- Area sales for ABB’s Machine Automation Division (B&R) in the Pune region, responsible for growing sales of automation and connectivity solutions in a defined area.

What you'll do

• Grow sales of B&R next-generation machine connectivity, automation & edge, motion systems, and technology software solutions in the defined area.
• Build and maintain customer relationships while generating new business opportunities and managing a sales pipeline.
• Understand customer needs and develop value-based techno-commercial automation solutions.
• Drive business growth through negotiations, opportunity conversion, and meeting sales targets.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support on-time project delivery and high customer satisfaction.
• Represent the organization as a trusted automation advisor to promote market growth and long-term customer partnerships.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• 8–10 years of demonstrated sales experience in industrial automation environments.
• Experience with PLCs, SCADA, Drives, Motion Control, and Mechatronics solutions.
• Solid background in consultative selling and delivering automation solutions aligned to customer needs.
• Experience translating technical requirements into practical business solutions.
• Proven negotiation ability and capability to convert opportunities into deals.
• Solid communication, professionalism, stakeholder management, and fluent English (regional language considered an advantage).
