Sales Representative I

Overview

Entry-level sales professional role selling Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts.

What you'll do

• Promote and sell Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts to meet or exceed sales targets.
• Develop, build and strengthen long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals.
• Pursue leads, assess needs and provide product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/or services.
• Promote and establish education of the company's products and/or services.
• Conduct market research, including customer and competitor activities.
• Implement market development plans/strategies and change them as needed.
• Communicate customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing.
• Sell products and/or services to a group of clients and identify new and potential customers.
• Maintain relationships and work to achieve individual sales targets by selling lower complexity products/services, developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts.
• Communicate with external customers and/or vendors, involving basic negotiation and/or presentations in order to close sales.

What you'll need

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 4+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
• OR Associate's Degree AND 2+ years of relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences.
• OR Bachelor's Degree.
