Overview
SAP S/4HANA Procurement / MM Functional Engineer (AMS) supporting operational stability and continuous optimization for S/4HANA and OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) in a post go-live maintenance environment.
What you'll do
- Provide functional AMS support for operational issues, service requests, and defects with root cause analysis.
- Support and optimize OpenText VIM and OCR/IES recognition (including OCR tuning and field extraction).
- Handle exception resolution across invoice processing scenarios (e.g., PO block, price/quantity variance, missing PO).
- Conduct impact analysis and testing for VIM patches, system enhancements, and change deployments.
- Support procure-to-pay (P2P) integrations across Accounts Payable (FI-AP), Purchasing (MM), and Logistics Invoice Verification (MM-LIV).
- Monitor system performance and workflow bottlenecks to ensure stable day-to-day invoice processing.
- Support month-end payment runs and vendor query resolution while meeting invoice posting deadlines.
What you'll need
- Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
- Hands-on experience configuring and supporting OpenText VIM, including document processing, indexing screens, exception rules, approval hierarchies, and OCR/IES engines.
- Strong functional knowledge of Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Accounts Payable (FI-AP), and Logistics Invoice Verification (MM-LIV).
- Experience in global application maintenance/production support with stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with system enhancements, incident resolution, problem management, testing, and delivery of supportable business solutions.
- Good understanding of SAP S/4HANA and ECC integration points (FI, MM, SRM).
Nice to have
- Exposure to automated e-invoicing frameworks and regional tax compliance rules (e.g., Peppol, e-reporting).
- Experience using ITIL-aligned tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and Confluence.
- Knowledge of OpenText VIM or related certification (OpenText VIM, SAP FI, or SAP MM).
- Experience with SAP Ariba or external vendor portal integrations with OpenText VIM.
