Secondary Design Engineer - Gas Insulated Switchgear

Overview

Secondary Design Engineer for Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), supporting LCC engineering in a GIS LCC Secondary team.

What you'll do

• Create electrical circuit diagrams and LCC schematics for High Voltage GIS (66 kV and above).
• Prepare schematics for GIS CB/disconnector/earthing switches and fast acting earthing switches.
• Prepare JB layouts for CT, VT, and density monitors.
• Perform AC/DC load calculations and cable sizing calculations.
• Prepare interlocking tables and schematics for busbar configurations.
• Address customer technical queries during project execution, if required.

What you'll need

• 5–10 years of experience with B.E or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
• Excellent knowledge of CAD tools.
• Good to have experience with the E3 tool (not mandatory).
• Very good knowledge of Protection & Control Systems for T&D/Gen.
• Familiarity with codes and standards including IEC, IEEE, and ANSI.
• Basic knowledge of GIS.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain professionalism with good communication and interpersonal skills.
