Overview

Associate Project Engineer for GIS primary offer engineering in Chennai, supporting sales and tendering engineers with tender-specific engineering documents and drawings.

What you'll do

• Support sales and tendering engineers with tender-specific engineering documents and drawings.
• Produce primary engineering deliverables for gas insulated switchgears (GIS) for transmission and sub-transmission systems.
• Prepare drawings and documents for customer submission for GIS above 66kV.
• Perform system resistance, thermal loss, gas volume, earthing mat, and cable calculations.
• Prepare bills of material (BOM) and cost estimation based on the BOM.
• Conduct self-review and peer review of documents.
• Coordinate with other engineering teams and sales support/area sales managers when needed.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in EEE or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-8 years of experience in tender or execution of substation projects, or high voltage product design.
• Good CAD knowledge in Creo and AutoCad.
• Familiarity with codes and standards such as IEC, IEEE, and ANSI.
• Excellent knowledge of high voltage products and substation.
• Strong communication skills in English.
