Security Engineer, Incident Response

Overview

Security Engineer for Incident Response within Twilio’s Security Incident Response Team (SIRT), responsible for leading technical response to security events and incidents across global infrastructure, services, and applications.

What you'll do

• Lead and support security incident and event response across Twilio’s global systems.
• Document incidents and projects and craft runbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate to address challenges involving a broad spectrum of threat actors and activity.
• Drive identified betterments from security events and incidents to improve security and reliability.
• Own the security incident lifecycle, including on-call rotation and участие in RCAs.
• Build relationships with internal customers to identify and facilitate solutions that increase team impact.

What you'll need

• 3+ years of security incident response experience in a production-cloud environment.
• Subject-matter expertise on security issues and technologies.
• Ability to utilize AI for comprehensive, complex incident response activities delivering high fidelity detections.
• Advanced knowledge of service-oriented architectures and experience with cloud-fit security tools and technologies.
• Experience across a technology stack for difficult security challenges and initiatives.
• Experience with SIEM platforms, including the ability to extend their functionality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Details

• Work is remote and based in Ireland or the U.K.
• May require occasional travel for in-person meetings.
• On-call rotation is part of the role.
