Overview
Security Operations Manager leading day-to-day SecOps for a new internal InfoSec function at 66degrees.
What you'll do
- Own daily operations of security toolsets including SIEM, EDR/XDR, and email/cloud/endpoint security.
- Lead incident response by investigating alerts, containing issues, remediating, and running post-incident post-mortems.
- Develop and maintain security playbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the tech stack.
- Run continuous vulnerability scanning and coordinate patching/remediation across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments.
- Operationalize and refine Zero Trust and related trust policies, including Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies.
- Serve as escalation point for global teams and train them on Tier 1 security triage.
- Support GRC buildout, evidence gathering, and enforcement for audits and compliance frameworks.
What you'll need
- 8-12+ years of progressive experience in Information Security/IT Security/Security Operations.
- 2-3 years in a team lead or management capacity.
- Deep technical understanding of Google Workspace administration and GCP security.
- Hands-on experience with EDR platforms, SIEM platforms, and IAM platforms (examples listed).
- Experience supporting SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 frameworks and operating in compliant environments.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash, or Google Apps Script) for automation and API integrations.
- Excellent English communication skills to bridge time zones and manage remote/offshore resources.
