Senior Analyst - VMI

Overview

Senior Analyst - VMI at Flex, located in Chennai, supporting close activities, reconciliations and journal entries in a finance and accounting role.

What you'll do

• Execute close activities as per checklist and timeline
• Prepare reconciliations and follow up on open items
• Identify and explain basic month-on-month variances
• Prepare and post standard/manual journal entries
• Prepare recurring accruals based on inputs
• Reconcile balances and follow up on mismatches
• Journal posting, account reconciliation, clearing and basic GL analysis
• Use VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS and basic data analysis
• Follow process controls and maintain supporting documents
• Provide requested supporting documents
• Support investigation and provide transaction-level details
• Identify improvement opportunities
• Coordinate with internal teams for routine requirements
• Complete assigned activities, support peers and own assigned tasks to meet timelines

What you'll need

• B.com / BBA(Finance) / M.Com / MBA(Finance)
• Good understanding of accounting basics, journal entries, accruals, provisions and reconciliation
• Understanding of cost centers, allocations, absorption and cost postings
• Good knowledge of accounting principles
• Good understanding of MS applications
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP Systems
• 0-1 year experience in Accounting/AP domain
• Good written/oral communication skills in English
• Good analytical skills and a team player
• Willingness to work in a complex environment with strict project deadlines
