Overview
Senior Analytics Engineer on the GFCO Analytics Engineering team within Coinbase’s Customer Experience organization.
What you'll do
- Own the design, build, and maintenance of production data pipelines, dimensional models, and ML-powered analytics products for CX and compliance use cases.
- Build self-service dashboards and AI-assisted analytics tools using Looker, Hex, or Python visualization libraries.
- Design and execute causal inference and quasi-experiment frameworks (e.g., A/B tests, holdouts, difference-in-differences) to measure CX impact on retention and engagement.
- Lead deep-dive investigations into key performance metrics using advanced statistical methods.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to turn business needs into scalable data solutions and manage a long-term analytics roadmap.
- Set analytics engineering standards, documentation practices, and testing frameworks to improve data quality and statistical rigor.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data science, or data engineering.
- Hands-on ownership of production data pipelines and dimensional data models (star/snowflake schemas).
- Advanced SQL and Python proficiency for data modeling, orchestration, causal inference, analysis, and ML deployment (beyond scripting/visualization).
- Experience designing and executing A/B tests, quasi-experiments, and causal inference methods with statistical rigor.
- Experience building production-grade dashboards and self-serve analytics in BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Hex, or similar).
- Apply ML techniques to operational problems including classification, detection, and attribution pipelines with familiarity in compliance/regulatory data domains.

- Work mode: Remote (USA).
- Base salary range: $180,370–$212,200 USD annually (excluding equity and bonus).
