Overview
Senior Architect — AI Enablement guiding the use of AI across the software engineering organization, including hands-on POCs and embedding with scrum teams to implement AI-driven solutions.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and demonstrate AI proofs of concept (POCs) and carry successful POCs toward production-ready patterns.
- Implement AI solutions using LLM APIs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic frameworks, and AI coding assistants integrated with a Java-based stack.
- Establish reference architectures, reusable components, and coding standards for AI features.
- Coach and influence engineers, managers, product owners, and directors on where and how AI can improve work.
- Scan AI/GenAI industry trends, evaluate emerging tools/models, and recommend changes to the organization’s AI roadmap.
What you'll need
- 16+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years in an architect or technical leadership role.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on Java expertise (e.g., Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs) with experience shipping production systems.
- Proven experience building AI/GenAI POCs and taking at least some into production.
- Hands-on experience with AI tooling such as LLM APIs, prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and AI coding assistants.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills across multiple teams and senior stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience with agentic AI frameworks, MCP, or workflow orchestration (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, Spring AI).
- Familiarity with MLOps/LLMOps practices including evaluation, monitoring, cost management, and guardrails.
- Experience driving AI adoption or developer-productivity programs across multiple engineering teams.
