Senior BIM Coordinator

Overview

Coordinate 3D building information models across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical disciplines and ensure models meet their intended purpose and customer requirements.

What you'll do

• Analyse customer specifications to ensure the Hitachi Energy solution meets customer requirements.
• Coordinate the 3D models from the Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical and Electrical departments.
• Formulate model requirements and ensure the models are used for their intended purpose.
• Coordinate models with the Civil, Electrical and Mechanical departments and external suppliers, and coordinate between Civil and MEP.
• Manage issues through BIM 360.
• Coordinate with the Project/Tender Team on timelines, budget, risks and opportunities relating to BIM aspects.
• Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

What you'll need

• A degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years of work experience in BIM processes.
• Good knowledge of Revit modelling and coordinating through Navisworks.
• Experience with 3D modelling and coordination software (Revit, Tekla or Navisworks).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of MEP materials in modelling.
• Knowledge of other 3D modelling software, including Tekla steel detailing software.

Details

• Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
• Full-time role, not remote.
• Occasional international travel to site and customer meetings (presentations and activities) may be required, depending on factors such as customer requirements.
