Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Overview

Senior Business Intelligence Analyst role in Caterpillar’s Global Finance Division, supporting descriptive analytics via web-based solutions and data visualization.

What you'll do

• Develop and support web-based solution functionality for descriptive analytics applications.
• Design and develop data visualizations and automation for global leadership and stakeholders.
• Identify and deliver analytics, reporting, and automation opportunities with business stakeholders.
• Develop solutions using Microsoft Power Platform tools, SQL-based data models, and Python-based automation where applicable.
• Execute end-to-end delivery of analytics/reporting/automation solutions from development through production support.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and improve usability and value.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data, report, or automation issues across tools and platforms.

What you'll need

• 5–10 years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
• Demonstrated capabilities in leveraging AI-driven analytics.
• Experience developing Python-based web reporting solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field.

• Based out of Bangalore-Whitefield office and requires working onsite five days a week (shift 01:00 PM–10:00 PM IST).
