Senior Category Management Specialist - Facilities, GWS, Soft Services

Overview

Support Global Category Managers in executing regional and global sourcing events for indirect Facilities Management categories, leading project execution and contributing to sourcing strategy for assigned events.

What you'll do

• Support Global Category Managers/Senior Managers in executing regional and global sourcing events across all assigned categories, including sourcing administration and event support across the Facilities Management category (janitorial services, pest control, waste, general maintenance and repairs, and other hard/soft facilities management services).
• Lead project execution for assigned events using defined strategic sourcing methodologies, tools, and templates to ensure a fair, open, and competitive sourcing process.
• Support Global Category Managers/Senior Managers in developing regional and global sourcing strategies across multiple indirect facilities management categories.
• Lead strategy development for assigned sourcing events.
• Develop effective and trusting relationships with Business Partners to ensure successful project delivery.
• Participate in developing and executing contracts and ensure compliance with Procurement/Sourcing guidelines, contract signature process and Audit requirements.
• Adhere to internal sourcing policies, ethical sourcing standards, and the global regulatory framework.
• Perform and deliver sourcing analysis of strategic sourcing events.
• Manage research and analysis to keep abreast of innovations, new products, new sources, price trends, and market conditions.
• Participate in Global Category Management planning for assigned categories and support category strategy development activities as assigned by management.
• Provide insights and develop recommendations for supplier selection to Business Partners in partnership with Category Managers.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree or Post-Secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years strategic sourcing, procurement, or related experience.
• Can independently drive/lead assigned sourcing events with Business Partners.
• Knowledge of RFx requirements including sourcing event structure, supplier selection, RFx criteria, timing, length, type, and complexity of RFI, RFP, and/or e-Auction.
• Understanding of basic negotiation principles in support of value delivery.
• Proven skill in partnering with other relevant functions to drive cross-functional alignment and support on sourcing events/projects assigned.
• Understanding of Supplier Compliance and Supplier Risk Management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong command of procurement/sourcing systems and Microsoft Suite.
• Ability to analyze data related to spend, supplier performance, and market trends.
• Ability to recognize trends within spend categories.
• Strong project management and organization skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in Services industry / Global Capability Centre managing indirect categories for multinational Business Partners and suppliers.
• Experience of working in a global matrix organization.
