Senior Copywriter

Overview

Develop short-form and long-form copy that establishes the tonality of ideas, working alongside senior team members and management, and think holistically about how an idea comes to life across all creative channels of the consumer experience.

What you'll do

• Understand the bigger-picture online objectives and ensure all activity supports them, e.g. best-practice back link building and keyword utilisation.
• Interact hands-on within social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
• Interact hands-on with off-site social properties such as other people's blogs, other companies' Facebook fan pages and forums.
• Write engaging web copy in a real-time environment that stimulates user interaction, discussion and engagement.
• Sell without selling online by delivering great service and content, linking through to commercial transactions where relevant and appropriate.
• Use a toolkit to measure and monitor social activity, determine what works, and tweak and improve content and communications.
• Maintain close links with other parts of the organization to ensure aligned marketing and online marketing strategy is delivered.
• Respond and react to changes within social networks, including changes in functionality and methods of engagement.
• Monitor and present relevant data, trends, successes and exceptions.
• Use good web etiquette to deliver the right message through the right channels without offending or annoying anyone.
• Deliver real-time content within relevant social spaces that dynamically engages the audience.
• Provide creative input on content and ideas for social media and viral marketing.
• Work closely with the offline marketing, online marketing and IT/web teams to ensure coherent delivery of activities aligned to strategic objectives.
• Be enthusiastic but responsible.
