Overview
Senior Data Analysts collect, process and analyze large datasets to provide insights and support informed decision-making for clients. They are responsible for strategy, implementation, productionization and articulation of business impact, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Perform data extraction and modeling to generate insights and make recommendations for the business.
- Support the definition and construction of KPIs that best represent clients' business performance and assist in decision-making processes.
- Develop and maintain strategic dashboards, reports and KPIs.
- Use storytelling practices for effective dashboard construction.
- Build solutions and validate hypotheses through comprehensive data analysis.
- Design, conduct and measure qualitative and quantitative research.
- Create proposals and conduct A/B tests.
- Conduct ad-hoc studies as needed.
- Connect with stakeholders to understand database structures, apply necessary business rules and share analysis methods and methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and ensure data quality and security.
- Coach, mentor and motivate other Thoughtworkers.
What you'll need
- Experience in analytics and business intelligence projects.
- Coding experience in Python.
- Expertise in self-service BI tools, i.e.: Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong data visualization practices with relevant tools.
- Proficiency in database management, either relational or non-relational.
- Advanced knowledge in SQL, Python or R.
- Ability to clean, prepare and analyze big data, both structured and unstructured.
- Exploratory, qualitative and quantitative analysis skills.
- Experience with research techniques and satisfaction indicators.
- Ability to identify patterns, actionable insights and relationships in data.
- Great stakeholder management skills and ability to build rapport and gain buy-in from clients and key stakeholders.
- Ability to solve problems, thrive in ambiguity, tackle challenges from various angles and embrace risk management.
- A data-driven approach, seeking opportunities to leverage data for efficiency and value, and actively collaborating to drive data-based decisions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to be a team player and actively collaborate with colleagues and other teams.
- Eagerness to coach, mentor and motivate others, and aspiration to influence teammates to take positive action and accountability for their work.
