Overview
As a Senior Data Analyst within the R&D Portfolio Data Strategy & Insights team, maintain reporting data, operations data, and management information infrastructure while supporting data quality, governance, semantic standards, KPI reporting, and AI-ready data principles.
What you'll do
- Manage and maintain reporting data infrastructure to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery of management reports and dashboards.
- Standardize and streamline semantics cross-functionally for key portfolio reporting products in line with capability-lead and enterprise standards.
- Maintain and validate published KPI calculations against agreed definitions.
- Support the establishment of data fabric and other digital reporting products.
- Advance AI-ready data principles, including FAIR-aligned, consistently defined, documented, and lineage-traceable data.
- Collaborate with Master Data Management teams to ensure data quality, governance, and alignment with enterprise data standards.
- Partner with the Digital Portfolio team on data transitions, system migrations, and knowledge transfer activities.
- Develop documentation and maintain operations and management data workflows across platforms and stakeholders.
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and process-improvement opportunities.
- Create data visualizations and reports that translate technical data into actionable insights for leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Document processes, identify gaps, and recommend data management best practices as part of continuous improvement initiatives.
What you'll need
- 3-5 years’ of experience in data analysis, data management, or business intelligence roles with exposure to reporting systems and operations data.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Bioinformatics or related field.
- Proficiency in data governance, MDM principles, and metadata concepts.
- Proficiency in SQL, Planisware, Snowflake, and Informatica.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
- Working knowledge of PPM platforms.
- Strong understanding of semantic layers, business glossaries, controlled vocabulary and ontology concepts, KPI definition management, and what makes data AI-ready.
- Strong ability to work across teams and geographies, with experience partnering with technical and business stakeholders.
- Ability to present data clearly to non-technical audiences and to flag clearly where harmonization is needed.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
