Senior Data Engineer - Data Management

Overview

Senior Data Engineer - Data Management responsible for designing and developing robust, scalable cloud-native data platforms that power analytics and AI-driven decision-making for client organizations.

What you'll do

• Partner with client stakeholders to understand business requirements and design cloud-native data platform architectures.
• Implement modern data integration patterns including ELT/ETL orchestration and streaming pipelines.
• Build data solutions on cloud modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, and Redshift.
• Design AI-ready data infrastructure with governance, lineage, and accessibility patterns.
• Contribute to MCP (Model Context Protocol) server builds to expose data capabilities for AI agents and LLM workflows.
• Integrate AI development tools (e.g., Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to accelerate development activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct knowledge transfer sessions.

What you'll need

• 3–6 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or cloud data platform development.
• Strong SQL proficiency including query optimization, complex transformations, and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Snowflake, Google BigQuery, or AWS Redshift.
• Experience with cloud-native orchestration tools such as Azure Data Factory, Databricks Workflows, dbt, or Apache Airflow.
• Familiarity with data lake/lakehouse architecture using Delta Lake or Apache Iceberg on cloud storage (ADLS, S3, GCS).
• Ability to own end-to-end DevOps practices including CI/CD pipeline design and implementation.
• An undergraduate degree (B.E/B.Tech.) from a tier-1 or tier-2 institution.
