Senior Engineer - Equipment

Overview

Senior Engineer responsible for maintaining and improving SMT and backend manufacturing equipment, supporting production, and driving equipment performance initiatives.

What you'll do

• Direct daily activities to maximize equipment utilization and support production.
• Coordinate maintenance with engineering, operations, customers, global engineering teams, and suppliers.
• Drive KPI performance, line throughput, changeover reduction, and equipment-generated scrap reduction.
• Monitor OEE, MTBF, MTTR, maintenance coordination, and downtime trends.
• Develop the SMT equipment roadmap and lead equipment transfer and installation projects.
• Drive continuous improvement, productivity, and automation initiatives.
• Present weekly and monthly performance reviews to management.

What you'll need

• 6+ years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience and training.
• Strong experience maintaining SMT equipment, including Pick & Place, screen printer, DEK printer, reflow, AOI, and wave soldering equipment.
• Knowledge of machine programming, troubleshooting, OEE, MTBF, and MTTR.
• Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma Green Belt knowledge.
• Knowledge of 7QC tools and TPM.
• Team handling, communication, and presentation skills.
