Senior Engineer-Global Estimation

Overview

Senior Engineer responsible for designing and documenting fire sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.

What you'll do

• Review architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and contract documents to develop coordinated sprinkler designs.
• Design wet, dry, and preaction water-based fire sprinkler systems in line with applicable codes and standards.
• Create shop drawings, design layouts, hydraulic calculations, and material listings using supported design tools.
• Prepare permit submittals and supporting documentation for authorities having jurisdiction.
• Coordinate with project managers, fabrication, field teams, and trade partners to improve constructability and installation efficiency.
• Support BIM coordination and clash detection as required.
• Incorporate revisions from quality reviews, field conditions, client feedback, and code review comments.

What you'll need

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering (or related technical field).
• 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in fire sprinkler system design, drafting, or fire protection layout.
• Working knowledge of fire protection codes and standards including NFPA 13, NFPA 14, NFPA 20, IBC, and FM guidelines.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with AutoSprink, Revit, AutoCAD, or similar software (preferred).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
