Senior Engineer - Low - Level Software Development

Overview

Senior Engineer for low-level software development in embedded systems design and development, working on drivers, hardware programming and OS-level work in Linux and Zephyr.

What you'll do

• Design and develop embedded software.
• Develop low-level drivers and hardware programming.
• Perform OS porting onto new hardware.
• Debug test failures and analyze their root causes.
• Work with embedded development platforms such as simulators, emulators or FPGA.
• Compile and write quality technical reports with a target audience from the CTO office.

What you'll need

• Masters or PhD in E&CE or CSE from a reputed institute.
• 5 to 8 years of experience.
• Excellent programming skills in C/C++.
• Working experience in Linux and Zephyr.
• Good understanding of OS architecture.
• Experience in OS porting onto new hardware.
• Good understanding of kernel internals, peripheral drivers, driver optimization, boot loaders and HW-SW interface (HSI).
• Handling of embedded development platforms such as simulator, emulator or FPGA.
• Tools knowledge: requirements management and configuration management (DOORS, JAMA, JIRA, GIT, etc.).

Nice to have

• Experience in developing software for safety-critical applications (e.g. DO-178 standard).
• Understanding of assembly programming and board debugging.
• Exposure to latest tools and technologies.
• Ability to guide or mentor projects at reputed research institutes such as IISC or IIT.
