Senior Engineering Manager, Data & Cloud Platform

Overview

Senior Engineering Manager leading the Data & Cloud Platform function for Mitratech’s AI organization, accountable for the data and infrastructure foundation used by AI platform capabilities.

What you'll do

• Own the cloud and data foundation, including shared runtime infrastructure, CI/CD patterns, and platform services.
• Design and build a unified data access layer for agents and AI features.
• Define where shared AI data should live (agent memory, context stores, and shared datasets).
• Build and operate data ingestion and transformation pipelines for AI workloads and analytics.
• Shape technical execution of the data strategy around scale, operability, cost, and maintainability.
• Partner on privacy-sensitive and PII-aware data handling with the AI Quality & Governance team.
• Hire, mentor, and grow the team while the function scales.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including leading engineers as a manager or technical lead.
• Built and operated shared platform and data systems in production across multiple teams.
• Strong experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems or internal platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience with shared data systems such as ETL/ELT pipelines and lakehouse/warehouse environments.
• Experience designing platform APIs or integration layers for other teams’ consumption.
• Exposure to production AI systems where data architecture and infrastructure affect quality, reliability, latency, or cost.

Details

• Remote US (role can be performed 100% remote anywhere in the US).
• Hands-on leadership expected to spend roughly half the time writing and reviewing production code.
• Anticipated pay range: $190K–$210K annually (USD total compensation).
